From where does these cholesterol come?

Cholesterol comes from two sources 1. Our body (especially liver) makes the necessary amount of cholesterol and circulates it through the blood in our body (known as lipoprotein). 2. Cholesterol is also found in our food, especially from animal sources like meat, poultry, and full-fat diet.

Types

We all know that there are two types of cholesterol LDL & HDL and having both types of lipoprotein in healthy or normal levels is essential.
1. LDL (also known as- bad cholesterol)- High LDL level can lead to buildup cholesterol in our arteries (Arteries are the blood vessel that carries blood from our heart to our body)
2. HDL (also known as- good cholesterol)- HDL carries cholesterol from another part of our body to our liver, and our liver removes the excess cholesterol from our body.

What are the causes of high cholesterol?

Cholesterol can rise in our body due to two reasons-
