Spicy mashed potato | No onion & garlic mashed potato | Simple potato Dosa stuffing


1. Large potato 4 (cut into halves)
2. Cooking oil 4 tbs
3. Split chickpea lentil (chana dal)  2 tbs
4. Peanut 4 tbs (roasted)
5. Mustard seed 2 tsp
6. Curry leaves 5-6 
7. Dry red chili (whole) 2-3
8. Salt to taste
9. Roasted cumin powder 2 tsp
10. Red chili (kashmiri) powder 2 tsp


1. Take four potatoes, wash properly and cut them into halves. Now put the potatoes in pressure cooker, 2 cups of water and close the lid. Cook the potatoes on medium heat till two whistles are done.
2. After two whistles are done, wait till the pressure is released. Take out the potatoes from the pressure cooker, run them under cold water, peel the skin and keep them aside.
3. Now in a pan take 2 tbs of cooking oil or olive oil, add 2 tbs of chana dal (split chickpea) and saute for couple of seconds on low heat (so the lentil doesn't burn). Add 4 tbs of peanuts and saute for few more seconds, now add mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chili (whole), when the mustard seeds splutters add potatoes (mashed).
4. Add salt to taste, roasted cumin powder and red chili powder mix all the ingredients nicely. Cook for 2-3 minutes and take it out in a bowl.
5. Stuff hot in dosas, or eat all by itself with steamed rice and enjoy your spicy mashed potatoes.
