             As a child, I always wanted to have those packet noodles in my lunch box for the school. Even though parents refuse to have them, then also it always tempted me. When I went to the hostel for my graduation, my friends and I would survive on instant noodles for days during the exams. Instant noodle or the minute's noodle is one of the easiest, tasty and fast cooking food, just boil water add the noodle and seasoning powder (that comes in the packet) cook for 2-3 minutes and enjoy a proper snack, it makes the tummy instantly full. Though instant noodle is available all over the planet some of the Asian countries are known to consume the highest number of instant noodle in the whole world. Amounts of research are done every day to understand, that how healthy is instant noodle for children as well as adults? Let's know a little bit about instant noodle.
             Instant noodle is always a topic of debate because of the contents like edible oil, gelling agent, emulsifying agent, flavor enhancer, anti-caking agent, MSG, and many more toxic preservatives and unhealthy additives.  They also contain high amounts of sodium, unhealthy fats like saturated fatty acids and trans fats, bad cholesterol and tons of carbohydrate, which are non-nutritious. Instant noodle does not contain any nutritional value, as they have more simple carbs and no fiber, they include a lot of added flavors rather than any valuable nutrition.

            Recently a lot of research is done, and many articles are found on the internet about a toxic preservative called, tertiary butyl hydroquinone (TBHQ) written as "Antioxidant" in the ingredients section on the noodle packet. This chemical is known to be a by-product of the petroleum industry, which prevents the oxidation of fats and oils. Instant noodles do not break down quickly in the stomach, which make it slow and difficult to digest and give stress on the digestive system. It may create hormonal changes in many adults(mostly in females).

              Instant noodle contains saturated fats and trans fat which can lead to cholesterol. It also increases the LDL (bad) cholesterol value and lower HDL (good) cholesterol level. It can also lead to diabetes due to high carbohydrate content and cause a rise in blood pressure(hypertension) due to high sodium content. Processed foods are always the primary reason for weight gain and obesity. Instant noodle adds little to no nutritional value to your healthy balanced diet.

             Instant noodles are always loved by all, let they be children or adults. Not because of the taste but the easy and convenient way of cooking, and hunger satisfying due to high carbohydrate content. But always keep yourself and your family away from instant noodle as well as any other processed food as they are unhealthy and non-nutritious. It is tough to completely stay away from such foods but avoiding this food can be your first step to a balanced diet and healthy life.
