Drinking warm water

           Drinking warm water in the morning with few drops of lemon and honey is best known as a weight loss remedy. Even many people believe that drinking warm water all day can help to reduce weight. Well drinking only warm water without a proper diet and exercise won't help you lose weight and with a proper diet and workout you don't need to drink warm water the whole day, drinking room temperature water can also keep you hydrated, detoxify and regulate body mechanism.

How water works in our body?
           Water is one of the essential thing for the functioning of our body, as our body uses the water in all cells, organs and tissues to help regulate its temperature and other important body functions. When we drink water, it goes to stomach then to small intestines, where it is absorbed and goes directly into the blood stream to be used by the body organs.

Cold water v/s warm water?
          There are different discussions and opinions on which temperature water is good for our body. While some people talk in favor of cold water others prefer drinking warm water. One of the main reason to choose warm water over cold water is, when we drink cold water after having a meal or during a meal, the cold water passes through our digestive system making the fats from the food to solidify. Due to this reason it becomes difficult for the body to absorb and excrete the fat out of the body. Where as some studies show that drinking cold water can eliminate body fat, as our body burns a lot of calories in the procedure, to warm the cold water to balance with our body temperature.

           In other hand drinking warm water can help to break down the food more easily, making it to digest faster. Drinking warm water in the morning detoxifies the body keeping it hydrated for longer time. While many people believe, that drinking warm water can help in weight loss, this theory is not yet scientifically proven. 

Personal experience of drinking warm water?

            One of the common morning drink for detoxification of the body and weight loss remedy is warm water, lemon and honey. I tried this remedy for 15 to 20 days, I really don't know if it helped in weight loss but I got a lot of acne (pimples) after few days of drinking warm and lemon water. They were painful and big and every other day one of them would pop up. Initially I didn't realize why I was getting so much pimples but soon I got irregular bowel movement. Then I did a little research and got to know that sudden change in diet (e.g; warm water in morning) can be one of the cause for acne and irregular bowel movement. 
             Then I stopped drinking warm water in the morning, but it took a long time, almost 1-2 months for acne to reduce completely. I have never tried drinking cold water every day as it makes my teeth sensitive, but sometimes I do drink cold carbonated drinks. I would like to mention that, again it depends on the skin type, and how your body and skin reacts to warm water, you can try for few days to learn if it suits your body or not.
              Personally I prefer to drink room temperature water for every day. It keeps the body hydrated, quenches thirst, detoxifies the body, helps in digestion and regulates bowel movement. And in morning you can add few drops of lemon to increase its taste.
