Chicken Sizzler

Hello foodies,
       Sizzler definitely is one of our restaurant's favorite dish, not because of the smoky sizzle that looks great from a long distance but also for a unique, flavorful taste. The grilled/baked dish looks challenging to make but actually is not. So, let's check the ingredients and preparation procedure.

Serves- 2
Cooking time- 45 minutes


For veggie topping

1. Onion 1/2 cup (cut into juliennes)
2. Bell peppers 1/4 cup (Cut into juliennes)
3. Broccoli 1/2 cup (cut into pieces)
4. Mushroom 1/2 cup sliced (optional)
5. Olive oil 2 tbsp 

For veggie sauce

1. Garlic 1 clove (roughly chopped)
2. Mixed cabbage 1/2 cup (sliced)
3. Green beans 1/4 cup (cut into pieces)
4. Carrots 1/4 cup (cut into pieces)
5. Tomato 1 (cut into pieces)
6. Salt to taste
7. Soy sauce 2 Tsp
8. Tobasco sauce (as per taste)
9. Whole black peppercorns
10. Cornstarch 2 tbsp
11. Chicken breast thins 4 pieces
12. Olive oil 2 tbsp


For veggie toppings

1. In a pan take 2 tbsp of olive oil, when the oil is warm add onions cut into juliennes, fry till they are half done. Once the onions are done, add the bell peppers, fry for a couple of seconds and add the broccoli. Fry all the vegetables till they are cooked. Take out in a bowl and keep it aside.

2. You can always add extra veggies, including mushroom, shredded carrots, and beans to add up to your taste and health.

For veggie sauce
1. In a pan take 2 tbsp of olive oil, add chopped garlic, shredded mixed cabbage, fry them for a minute. Now add green beans cut into pieces and carrots pieces, cook the veggies for few more minutes.

2. Now add tomatoes, salt to taste and few black peppercorns, cook for few more minutes. Turn off the heat and let it cool down. Remember not to overcook; it's okay if it is undercooked. Once the veggies are done, transfer them to a grinder or blender. Now add 2 tbsp of cornstarch and grind it to a smooth paste.

3. Now pour this veggie mixture into a saucepan, add 1 & 1/2 cups of water and let it boil for 5 to 6 minutes on medium-high heat. Once it starts boiling add, 2 tsp of soy sauce and Tabasco sauce (as per your taste). 

4. While the sauce is cooking, pan grill the chicken breast thins. For this in a pan spray olive oil or take few drops of olive oil, set the chicken breast thins, sprinkle salt to taste and black pepper powder. Cook from both the sides till it turns orange. 

5. Take out the chicken thins and keep them aside. Now make your sizzler hot by pouring some homemade veggie sauce, vegetable toppings and enjoy the healthy, and tasty sizzler. 

6. And if you want to give it a restaurant-style sizzle touch, just serve it on a hot iron plate and put a small piece of frozen butter.
